Morris is nostalgia.

The idea of a haunted theatre is not new, but in Ocala the ghost is a local celebrity whose story had been passed down for generations and then silenced as his building came down.  The Ocala Civic Theatre was a staple of the community for decades, and when people talked of the building, they talked of Morris the Magician and the fact is ghost was just part of the show.

Tripping on Legends looks at one of the lesser known legends in the shadows of the Ocala National Forest which is well known if you know the right people to ask.

Thanks to Rick Allen and Dave Schlenker and the Star Banner for their excellent reporting on the theatre and the history of Morris Osborn.

Tripping on Legends is now part of the Midnight FM family.  Check us out and see some of the other amazing shows they offer at https://midnight.fm/.
