S came back from Scotland for a visit, and we talked about the previous post (Fairies have moved in! Any Advice?). She had her own ideas about what to do, and I think they are worth repeating.

She asked where the events in the posting happened, and I reminded her that it was in the English Lake District. This is close to home for her, so she felt rather confident about the first part of the answer.

“Offer them some whiskey,” she said. “If they are anything like the Fairies in Scotland, they love whiskey. But give them good whiskey, because they know the difference. And make it single malt whiskey. They don’t like blended whiskey.”
