The Legend Of Alabama’s Screaming Bridge Will Make Your Hair Stand On End

From: Only in Your State

by Jennifer Young

Several haunted bridges are located throughout Alabama. One in particular is Cry Baby Bridge. There’s a variety of stories behind this haunted bridge, and we’ve included one of them below. While many people believe the story about Cry Baby Bridge is true, several others believe it’s an urban legend.

Many years ago when a war was going on, a young mother fled on foot from Oak Grove Plantation in Saraland, Alabama. She was carrying her baby as she ran to escape the soldiers chasing her. The baby wouldn’t stop crying, so the mother had to think of something quickly to get it to stop.
