The Ghostly Tales of Ocala National Forest is a Little Bit Haunted and a Little Bit Goosebumps

Did you know that not far from the “happiest place on earth,” ghosts roam the swamps and woodlands of Central Florida? Or that eerie children ask passing cars for rides along the famously haunted Tiger Trail Road in Dunnellon? Can you believe a mysterious wanderer stalks the streets of Astor at night?
Pulled right from history, these ghostly tales will change the way you see Ocala National Forest forever, and have you sleeping with the lights on!

After the success of Haunted Ocala National Forest, Arcadia/History Press believed it was time to spread to wealth. Why let the adults have all of the fun.

They approached me to adapt some of the stories in the book for a younger, 8-12, group. I approached it with all of the passion of my middle school teacher mind, spending time rereading Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and reading Goosebumps for the first time to get the voice right. I was able to add just enough history to give context, but these stories are all about the love of a good ghost story.
