Mysterious bell baffles locals after ringing for weeks at New York subway station as no one knows why

A mysterious ringing bell has been plaguing a NYC train station and all the businesses operating within for weeks – and authorities still have no clue where it’s coming from.

The relentless bell has been ringing nonstop for nearly two weeks at the 50th Street station, with a piercing sound akin to a school bell. The sound can be heard at the entrance to the downtown 1 train platform.

Owners of the local businesses next door have tried to find the source of the ringing, but no one has any clue. The owner of the pizza spot in the station, See No Evil Pizza, has tried calling the landlord and past tenants, who couldn’t help. The MTA also had no idea what was happening – yet.
