The Ocala..The Seven Sisters Inn

In 2022, I published Haunted Ocala National Forest through Arcadia/History Press.

Before I ever made it to Florida, a friend contributed a story about a haunted book stalking her in an old haunted inn located in some weird place in a weird state. Ghost Hunters had done an episode there, and as the Florida arm of TAPS, she was called in to follow up.

I didn’t think to much about it until I began to see the oddness in The Ocala. A friend had grown up near the inn and had spent time there. Newspaper articles started to fall about it during its sale as I was covering the news. Then I looked into it myself. The Seven Sisters Inn has become a symbol of haunted locations buried deep under modern desires to stop people from thinking ghosts yet kept alive through stories of repeated experiences and a deep ghostly history…and every once in a while they allow people in to play with the haunts.
