Episode 17…Trips, Triangles, and North Carolina Folklore

Only two days from the beginning of the Tripping on Legends Summer Road Trip, Natalie Crist and Christopher Balzano get more in depth with the first leg of the trip through Florida and into North Carolina to explore an area known as the Piedmonts.

The Trippers break down several of the potential places within the Piedmonts that are perfect for the Legend Project. After talking about Shiloh Cemetery in Sanford, Florida, they travel up 95 to North Carolina and the Biltmore Hotel in Greensboro. They then look at a phantom hitchhiker legend, the tale of the Little Red Man in Winston-Salem, the infamous Catsburg Ghost Train near Durham, and the Devil’s Trampling Ground.

You can look into some of the stories at North Carolina Ghost Stories.
