Former Megadeth bassist, David Ellefson was born and raised in the small town of Jackson, Minnesota. Like many small towns, Jackson Minnesota has an urban legend about a young lady named Mary Jane Twiliger, who was buried at Loon Lake Cemetery in the early 1880s. The urban legend was translated into one of the band’s most misunderstood songs.
We’ll be looking into the connection between haunted folklore and the arts on September 21st at the Fort Myers Alliance for the Arts. We’d love to see you come out and fall down that rabbit hole with us.
